The Gutteridge brand, known in Naples as one of the oldest clothing and fabric stores in the city, has always been synonymous with sartorial quality and timeless elegance in men's fashion. The brand, founded in Naples in 1878 by the Scotsman Michael Gutteridge, was initially born as a warehouse of fine fabrics, later transforming into what we would call a “multi-brand” store and giving rise to a thriving mail-order business throughout Europe. Taken over in 1997 by Capri, following the purchase of the historic premises of Palazzo Stigliano, on Via Toledo, in Naples, Gutteridge was relaunched with a new, unbeatable commercial format that is contributing to the excellent positioning of the brand on the Italian market. The expansion, which began within the outlets, continues today mainly in the historic centers of the main Italian cities intending to make the Gutteridge brand increasingly present on the Italian and international commercial scene.
